Centenary at Chelsea

So it’s official! Lump will be proudly contributing some works to this years Trailfinders Australian Garden presented by Fleming’s at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. And it’s going to be a big one. 2013 celebrates the centenary of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and the celebrating starts with a focus on sustainability. And sustainability is the perfect focus for this year’s designer Phillip Johnson. This year’s team will showcase a recreation of a naturally occurring Australian eco-system. A design envy approach to water management and a healthy, natural, sustainable environment.

At Lump this will be our fourth Chelsea experience and we are very excited that our brand new Wood stack screen will be a part of the centenary show. The Wood stack screen will be incorporated into the garden as a series of four original screens and six custom designed pieces. The tree ring design used to create the overall Wood stack design is also carried through into a sculptural staircase. This staircase leads up to a studio perched high in the garden and has been meticulously designed and manufactured at Lump in conjunction with Atkinson and Pontifex.

You can read more about our previous Chelsea experiences here and here and also catch a little video of me talking Chelsea here on Fleming’s T.V by David Reynolds from Fleming’s and Ashleigh McInnes from Paper Mill Media.
