Multi tiered landscape by COS Design

Steve Taylor from COS Design captured the images below on his phone, documenting the completed landscape he designed for the fortunate owners of this striking residential home.

The project is a multi-tiered architectural landscape that brings together carefully curated planting, steel, concrete, water and glass. Integrated within the design is a collaboratively conceived and hand-cut light feature panel, fabricated by Lump to complement the broader architectural vision.

A Fully Integrated Residential Landscape

Constructed by Hamilton Landscapes, the project was entirely designed and overseen by Steve Taylor. Every element from the pool and retaining walls to the arbours, entry portico, planting design and stepped transitions was meticulously resolved.

From a cherry picker, Steve managed to capture the full scope of the landscape, including his customised pool design and the crisp white concrete surfaces created by Keenan from Harrisdesign.

Designed to Respond to Site & Architecture

This is not a conventional suburban garden. The landscape has been thoughtfully shaped to respond to the natural contours of the site while complementing the architectural language of the residence, designed by Atkinson Pontifex.

There is no denying its boldness, cohesion and technical execution. It is a confident example of contemporary landscape architecture where structure, materiality and sculptural elements work together seamlessly.

And yes, we think it’s pretty ace.
