Moongate

Small or Large-scale corten steel moon gate sculptures designed to frame landscape and create a sculptural pathway through the environment.

The work draws inspiration from the traditional moon gate found in classical gardens, reinterpreted as contemporary public art.

Constructed from weathering corten steel, the sculpture consists of monumental circular rings that visitors can walk through. Each ring acts as a visual portal, framing changing views of sky, trees and surrounding landscape. As people move through the sculpture the perspective shifts, transforming the experience of the site.

The circular geometry of the moon gate form symbolises passage, transition and connection between spaces. In landscape settings the sculpture becomes both a landmark and a gateway that frames the natural world.
