APEC Haus Western Wall Art Works

A collaboration with Jim Fitzpatrick Architects and the PNG National Museum and Art Gallery.

The APEC Haus Western Wall Art Works represent the twenty-two provinces within the four regions of Papua New Guinea.

Curatorial staff from the Papua New Guinea National Museum identified the twenty-two objects to represent each province and while working in close collaboration with Jim Fitzpatrick Architects and under the close guidance of the staff and board of the Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery, Lump Sculpture Studio meticulously traced each object and transferred the art works onto the panels completing the installation that extends 80 meters in length and illuminates the Western Wall of APEC Haus.

Each individual art work is made up of three panels totaling 4.6 meters in height and 3.6 meters in width.  Constructed from marine grade aluminium and completed with a light-coloured powder coated finish. The panels are displayed on a dark contrasting coloured wall and illuminate the western wall in the evening.
